You don't have to register to use many of features in -Mall of Maine - browse and search through the business directory, view business pages with offers and print individual coupons. You can view and update the news section, and change the weather box to reflect your local weather conditions. Coming soon: you'll be able to post, view and search through free ads in our Free Classifieds section.

All of the outside links will open pages in the same browser window. You can return to the -Mall of Maine by clicking on the return link in the header.

Search

Print Coupons: Locate the coupon you want to print and click on the Print Now button. A page with a "printer-friendly" version of the coupon will open, and your printer dialog will pop-up.

Post a Classified Ad: This feature is being developed. When it becomes functional, instructions for use will be posted here.

Change the Weather Box: Click on the Change Location link below the weather conditions box. Choose the desired location from the drop-down menu and click on the Change Location button. If your browser is set to accept cookies1, the application will "remember" your location, and the next time you visit the Mall the weather box will display your local weather conditions.

Update News: The news will automatically be updated every time you visit the site. If you stay on the site for a long time and you want to refresh the news list, click on the More news link below the news box, then click on Update News.

The registration is absolutely free of charge. The only information you need to provide to become a registered user is a valid e-mail address, first name and last name. Read about the benefits of registration in the Regular Account Features and Business Account Features below.

To register click the link in the Register/Login box on the top left side of the screen. Fill in the required information and click on Register button. A message will be sent to you with instructions on how to complete the registration process. This is to validate your e-mail address.

Your privacy is very important to us. The information you provide during the registration will never be shared or given to a third party. To find out more about privacy issues, read our Privacy Policy.

The e-mail address you used to register with -Mall of Maine is also your user name. To log in type your e-mail address and password in assigned user box fields, and click on Login button. While logged in you will be able to use the site features reserved only for registered users.

If you check the Remember Me checkbox before clicking on the Login button, you will be automatically logged in next time you visit the site. This feature requires your browser to accept cookies1. The cookie will expire in one year. You can still log out at any time if you click on Logout link in user box. If you use another browser, reinstall your browser or change your computer, the cookie will disappear, and you will have to log in manually again.

Problems Logging In?

If you are unable to log in, first check if you typed your e-mail address and password correctly. The e-mail address is not "case-sensitive", but the password is. This means that it makes a difference if you typed "A" or "a" in your password.

If you are able to log in, but you get logged out when you go to another page, it means that your browser is not set to accept cookies1. Check your browser settings and try again.

Forgot Your Password?

In case you forget your password, simply click on Forgot your password? link in the user box and follow the instructions. An e-mail message will be sent to you with your password.

As a registered user you become on owner of a regular account with -Mall of Maine. With the regular account you can use all public features described above, plus My Coupons and My Print Queue features. You are also automatically entered in all contests posted on -Mall of Maine, for a chance to win prizes. The contests will be announced on the site.

During the registration you are asked whether you are interested in receiving the -Mall of Maine newsletter, and whether you wish to receive updates about your favorite listings, which you will be choosing yourself as you are using the website. You can edit your user information at any time, including the choice of receiving e-mails with updates and the newsletter, by clicking on My Profile link in the user box and following instructions.

My Coupons

In order to use My Coupons feature you need to be registered and logged in. While browsing the listings you can click on Add to My Coupons button to add an offer to your personal My Coupons list. Next time you are in the Mall, you can conveniently return to your favorite offers by clicking on the links you have created. You can remove the items from My Coupons at any time.

Additionally, if you opted to receive e-mail updates during your registration, you will be notified when there are any changes made to the listings on My Coupons list, or if there are any new listings in corresponding categories.

My Print Queue

In order to use My Print Queue feature you need to be registered and logged in. This feature enables you to browse the site, choose your coupons and announcements, and then print them all at once. It saves you time and paper! The Add to My Print Queue button is located in the top right corner of the coupon or announcement. You can remove items from My Print Queue at any time.

When you are ready to print your coupons, click on My Print Queue link in the user box. Check the items you wish to print, and click Print Selected button.

If you are not logged in, you can still print individual coupons and announcements by clicking on Print Now button on the coupon itself.

As a registered user you can build a business site within the -Mall of Maine website. This site will only be viewable by you, and will become public only if activated. For a limited time only activation is free of charge, as part of the Mall's promotion of new online tools. In the future, the fees for business listings will be posted on the website. One registered user can have more then one business listed. Your business can be listed in up to three categories.

The mini-website that comes with the business listing package contains:

• Offers page containing: business name, business logo (or a picture), slogan, business description and printable coupons or announcements
• Contact page with contact information
• Up to three additional pages with titles and content of the user's choice

Your business listing is entirely editable by you in real time.

How to Add a Business Listing to Your Account

To add a business listing in the -Mall of Maine Directory, you need to be a registered user, and you need to be logged in with your account. Click on the My Business link in the user box. Carefully follow all the instructions and read the warning messages through the whole process.

Click on the Add A Business to -Mall of Maine Directory link below the My Business table. Again, make sure you follow all the instructions. If you want your business listing to appear in the Directory for the public, you need to fill in all mandatory information. The required fields are marked with *. Once you fill in general information, your new listing will appear on the My Business list in the user box. The next step is to provide contact information for your business. Click on the Click here to proceed link in the orange square on top of the screen. This will take you to the Contact Information form. Once you have filled in all mandatory information, your business is ready for activation process.

Use the green navigation on top of the screen to add, edit or remove parts of your mini-site. You can view your listing by clicking on the Edit General Information link on top of the page. Read more about the editing features below. Make sure to save your changes before you switch between editing sections. If you are working on your listing for a long time, it is a good idea to save changes often, even if you working in only one section.
How to Activate Your Business Listing
Editing Your Business Listing

You can access your business listing by clicking on the links in the user box, clicking on the links in My Business table, or locating it in the directory by searching or browsing the categories. The green navigation above the listing will appear only for you while you are logged in with your account, it will not be visible to other registered users, or unregistered public viewers.

Change the Style
While you are viewing your listing, the Select Display Style feature is available to you. -Mall of Maine offers five different color schemes. The colors you select will dominate on your pages and coupons and announcements. You can change the display style simply by clicking on the color scheme of your choice.

Edit General Information
While you are editing your general information, always make sure that you have the Business Name and Description, and that you have selected at least one category for your business. Use the Editor buttons to format the Description text. If you do not see any formatting icons, please refer to our Technical Requirements section below. Make sure to save your changes before you switch to another editing feature.

Edit Contact Information
While you are editing your contact information, always make sure that you have all mandatory fields filled in. The contact information you provide here will also be used as your billing information2. In the Contact Text area you can write any additional contact information which is not covered by standard fields (e.g.: toll-free number, best times to contact, contact person's name, directions to your location, etc.). Use the Editor buttons to format the Contact Text. If you do not see any formatting icons, please refer to our Technical Requirements section below. Make sure to save your changes before you switch to another editing feature.

Upload / Change Picture
You may upload one picture to your business listing. It will be displayed on all pages of your listing. It can be your logo, a product you are selling, or some other image connected to your business. The picture must be in JPEG or GIF format. The size cannot exceed 300 pixels in width, and 400 pixels in height. Click on the "Browse" button, locate the picture you want to upload on your hard drive, and then click on "Upload Picture" button. The picture you have chosen will show up below. Please be patient if you are on a slow Internet connection, this might take a few minutes. Make sure to save your changes before you switch to another editing feature.

Add / Edit Coupons
If you already have coupons in your listing, they will appear on the Select Coupon to Edit drop-down menu. After you select a coupon, you will be able to remove it by clicking on Delete This Coupon link, or edit its content. To add a new coupon, choose Add New Coupon from the drop-down menu and choose the coupon type (there are four types of coupons: announcement, coupon, important notice and special offer; the coupon's icon will change depending on the type you choose). Fill in the rest of the information and click on Save Changes button. Make sure to save your changes before you switch to another editing feature.

Add / Edit Pages
Besides the basic two pages which you are getting with your business listing, Offers and Contact, you may add up to three additional pages with some other relevant content. It can be an About Us page, Job Opportunities, or anything else connected to your business. You can add, edit and remove additional pages at any time. Use the Editor buttons to format the Contact Text. If you do not see any formatting icons, please refer to our Technical Requirements section below. Make sure to save your changes before you switch to another editing feature.
Technical Requirements

We have provided a simple text editor for you to use to edit your -Mall of Maine listing pages. In order to be able to use the editor, you need to have a current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you don't see the editor, you can still add plain text to your listing pages. You can get the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer either through your Windows Update, or from the official MS Internet Explorer website.
